Application Requirements and Procedures
I. How to apply
Those who want to study at ECUST should hand in relevant documents and applications
at Admission Office of IES.
The application form can be obtained in one of the following ways:
1. Go to the Admission Office of School of International Education of ECUST directly and fill in the Application Form for Admission.
2. Apply online by clicking "Apply online" on our website. Submit after filling in relevant information.
3. Inform us of your detailed address and the Admission Office will mail you the Application Form.

II. Application Time
Chinese Language Program: Application deadline is Jan. 15th for Spring Term and July 31th for Autumn Term.
Undergraduate Program: Application deadline is June 30th.
Postgraduate Program: Application deadline is Jan. 15th for Spring Term and June15th for Autumn Term.
III. Enrollment
International students are required to register, pay the fees and apply for Residence Permit at College of International Education ECUST at the designated time with the passport, visa and Admission Notice.
Full Chinese Government Scholarship winners do not need to pay the fees of registration, tuition, books and accommodation, but they are required to pay the accommodation deposit.
IV. Application Method
Applicants can apply directly to the Admission Office of School of International
Education (IES) by mail, Fax, or E-mail (eust@admissions.cn).
Application for Chinese Government Scholarship shall be filed to your home
country’s Embassy in China or the Chinese Embassy in your home country.

V. Application Requirements
1. Degree Studies
(1) Undergraduate
Applicants must hold a high school diploma, be in good health, aged 18 or above and with HSK level 4 or above. If the applicants are not proficient enough in Chinese to follow the program, one-year Chinese course can be arranged. To begin major study, HSK Certificate Level 4 is required.

(2) Master’s Degree
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, be in good health, aged 18 or above and with HSK level 4 or above. Most courses will be taught in Chinese. However, the program may be conducted in English for a group of over 6 people.

(3) Doctoral Degree
Applicants must hold a master’s degree, be in good health and with HSK level 4 or above. Most courses are taught in Chinese, a few in English.

2. Non-degree Studies
(1) Language Student
Applicants must be in good health and aged from 18 to 60.

(2) General Advanced Student
Applicants are required to have at least a two-year study period in other universities, be in good health and aged 18 or above.
